Rob + Amanda=Married

May 18, 2010

We had such a fun weekend! We traveled to Brandon’s hometown for the weekend so that Brandon and I could photograph a wedding. The boys stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Tiek while we were busy. They had a blast! Grandpa wrestled with them all day I think! So rowdy!!
The wedding was absolutely perfect! And by “perfect,” I don’t mean that nothing went wrong….there were things that did go wrong along the way….it rained on and off all day, the unity candle wouldn’t light, etc. What I mean by perfect is that this couple was the perfect example of what a couple that is getting married should look like! They were focused on what was important, they were having a great time, and they were genuinely in love. They are Christians, and they made sure that their wedding ceremony was centered around Christ. Such an inspiration!

I love the above photo of Amanda. The wind was blowing and it started to rain…..and this is what she did!!! She lifted her face to the wind and threw her arms back! She was so happy to be marrying her prince. The image will stick in my mind forever. This is a representation of what I want my marriage to look like…..happy, free, confident….even if the wind is blowing and the rain is coming. So I ask you…is this what your marriage looks like? If not, what can you do to make it be that way?

Above is another image of her walking back to the car to get out of the rain. Look¬†how happy she is….and it’s raining on her wedding day! Are you this happy in your¬†marriage when it’s “raining”??
