Who am I? Why is that always such a hard question??!! It’s a hard question because as women, we wear SO many hats in one day that it’s too hard to count them all. However, I’ll try to sum up my life in a nutshell.
First and foremost, I’m a Christian. It impacts every aspect of my life from family to business. Secondly, I am a wife to Brandon, mother to Sam, Will and Stella, sponsor mom to 3 baby girls still in Guatemala, daughter to Dave and Carol and Ken and Linda, sister to Mary and Kiersten, aunt to Caleb, Jonathan, and David. I love my family so much and really enjoy spending time with them. I’m a cancer survivor and health food “nut”. I’m an adoption and orphan advocate. I’m addicted to all things Mac….it’s a problem….. I love warm weather and beach living. I’m not sure why I live in Indiana : ) I really don’t like tight pants. They make me grouchy, and I’d rather just be in my sweats! I’m a complete nerd in all ways. I love learning, studying, improving. I’m always looking for something new to “dabble in,” and therefore looking for new ways to balance it all! Sometimes I’m really good at juggling my life, and sometimes I really struggle!
I love all things photography! I love capturing people in candid moments when they don’t even know I’m there. I love seeing a baby smile when I set that birthday cupcake down in front of them and a groom’s face light up when he sees his bride coming towards him. I also love all things graphic design. I enjoy starting with a blank page and ending up with a beautiful business portfolio that completely reflects my client.

Kim Mitchell: Creative and Marketing Director
I am so excited to join Michelle Tiek Photography & Design as the new Creative & Marketing Director! If I could have designed the perfect job for myself…this would be it!! I have been a stay-at-home mom for the last 9 years and am ready to re-enter the workforce.
I grew up in Maine, went to Miami of Ohio, and have been in the Midwest ever since. I live in Carmel with my two girls, Addison (8) and MacKenna (6) and my husband, Clint. My past jobs have included retail, a buyer for an athletic shoe store, and Market Manager in both Cleveland and Columbus for Angie’s List.
I’ve always wanted to incorporate my creativity, English Literature degree, Marketing courses and organizational skills into a fun and rewarding job! I have known Michelle for eight years and value her as a friend and appreciate her passion for photography.
So…in between running, driving my girls to their activities, organizing (because I can’t stop!), enjoying friends and family and finding time to read a good book, I will now be working! Isn’t life great?
