WHO launches global effort to end TB by 2030Other india-Germany agreementSo the above agreement was signed by both sides as part of bilateral indo-German development cooperation:-Manipur – The loan agreement for the Community based sustainable Forest Management – Component I Manipur project was signed with KfW , in Germany, for a loan of 15 million euros. The project aims to restore degraded forests in higher watersheds, conserve water resources and improve the livelihoods of forest-dependent rural tribal populations in the project area. Madhya Pradesh – India and Germany have signed the loan agreement for the Madhya Pradesh Urban Sanitation and Environment Programme project for an interest rate reduction of 50 million euros and a grant of 2.5 million euros. The project aims to improve water, sanitation and wastewater infrastructure and improve surface drainage systems for flood protection in some cities in Madhya Pradesh. The loan contract was signed for the “Sustainable Urban Infrastructure Development Odisha – Phase II” project for 55 million euros in the form of a reduced-rate loan, with a grant of 2 million euros. The project aims to improve urban infrastructure by linking it to the government`s priority. The two parties also signed the loan agreement for the “Green Energy Corridor – Intra-State Transmission System in Maharashtra” project for 12 million euros in the form of a reduced-rate loan. The main objective of this project is the establishment of a transmission system for the disposal of renewable energies. To further strengthen bilateral relations, India and Germany signed a framework agreement on financial and technical cooperation in the fields of energy, environment and natural resource management on Thursday. 1.
